sat nam foundation's service
Sat Nam Foundation will be troubleshooting and improving the rainwater harvesting system that is already in place in order to bring Ramana's Garden closer to water autonomy.
We will also be working with a team from TESLA to upgrade their solar power system. The solar system that we are funding and helping to install will contribute to the smooth functioning of the water system as well as give light around the property and power to the classrooms and cafe.
Currently, the campus at Ramana’s Garden is dark at night. We will improve the safety of the campus for the children as they grow in age and in number by purchasing and installing LED lighting all around the campus.
the seva retreat
Here's where you come in. We are taking a group of yogis to Ramana's Garden to combine their love of service, yoga, and adventure.
We will rise before the sun each day and have a morning Aquarian Sadhana yoga and meditation practice. We will eat delicious organic meals. We will have have daily yoga and meditation workshops. But most importantly, we will serve the children of Ramana's Garden by helping to install and beautify their new water and power systems, as well as serve as we are needed around the property and nearby farm.
The installation of these systems will be completed by a professional team that will arrive before the retreat, and when we arrive, we will be able to join the children in learning to implement and use these new systems.
rishikesh, india
Our retreat will be hosted in Rishikesh, known as the birthplace of yoga and city of enlightenment. Together we will begin our morning by practicing Kundalini Yoga in the yoga hall built by Sat Nam Foundation with the generous support of people like you. Afternoons will be spent interacting with the children of Ramana’s Garden, engaging in service projects around their campus, soaking up ancient culture and traditions of India, chanting mantra on the Ganga and dipping in her sweet water.
